Stroud Illustrator’s Collective, aka S.I.C. (established 2024), is an eclectic group of graphic artists and illustrators, living and working in the 5 valleys. This unique ensemble have been exhibiting together as Film Posters Reinterpreted, part of Stroud Film Festival for the past 5yrs., celebrating contemporary, local design and creative innovation on paper.
S.I.C. members are working professionals with a passion for sharing, communication and the wider visual language of image, colour, typeface and form.
Each year, in honour of and collaboration with the amazing Stroud Film Festival, an eclectic group of graphic artists, all living and working from Stroud, come together to draw. A perfect excuse to share, design, contribute and exhibit. The Film Posters Reinterpreted exhibition, now in its 5th year, kickstarts their collaborative Spring term, in a high-end design expose.
This exhibition is all fresh work, bespoke to S.F.F. and a growing fan base of art lovers, design lovers and all lovers of good things. The work is printed locally and is both affordable and unique.
2024 sees this group of artists launch as S.I.C.: Stroud Illustrator’s Collective, a co-lab which celebrates contemporary, local, and creative innovation on paper. Each chosen member works in art for a living, “We love design and we love putting it out there.”
The film poster is a perfect format for creative diversity to explode within a neat, set boundary – everything a graphic designer could wish for. Freedom and rules = productive free fall.
